To turn down or off hardware video acceleration open the display properties, go to the "Settings" tab, hit the "Advanced" button, and then select the "Troubleshooting" tab. You should see a slider control that goes from None to Full.

Are you using the latest Radeon drivers? If not, give them a try. For a quick thing, try turning down (or off) video hardware acceleration. I had funny things happen when I first used the Radeon VE, and that fixed it for me. I wasn't using RealTick at the time, so I don't know if it is...

IB has released Mac OS X and Linux compatible versions of its Java based trading client. I haven't tried them yet. TWS is strictly trade execution and does not have charts or other frills.

I believe it is against NASD regulations to "hang" your license at a firm you do not work for.

I have an ATI Radeon 8500 dual head AGP and a Nvidia single head GeForce4 MX 420 PCI card in my main machine. So far I have not had any problems, though I only recently added the PCI card. I'm running XP Pro and all three monitors appear in the display properties.

I don't think Don was saying that charts aren't useful. I think he just meant that there is no single "magic" chart and that a chart is only as useful as the person that knows how to interpret what is on the chart.
