Why do traders talk about TA as if it is physics ?

Looks awesome, but how does one read it? Does this technique have a name I can look for, or is it your proprietary invention?

Fully Automated - LIVE Trading - $50k per month

Suggestion to consider adding some strategies on assets uncorrelated with stocks, to decrease drawdown when all markets selling off with high correlation.

    SPX 5000

SPX is going to ATH of 5000 by July 4th. The war is over (almost), Covid is over, job market is great, interest rates going up, economy is healthy. Bears please prove me wrong.

Which way? A Gold Timing exercise

Update: Gold broke out sooner then I expected. Buy signal was the gap up week of 14-Feb. Did the chart pattern predict war? What do you think? Short term -I am looking for a correction to ~1950 area.

How does trading change your life?

Yes mother; it is indeed possible to make money by hitting green and red buttons on the screen like a chimp. That is what I do all day. Money for nothing.

    Baron's Crypto Trading Journal

What worries me are increased correlations with the market. It behaves nowadays like another NQ, unlike in the old days, so it's not offsetting the recent losses in the long portfolio. It's not a safe haven as many are preaching. Dollar, oil, metals...

    Black Swan Hedging

There will be ones, but less often then if following daily moving averages. If you wait too long for new trend confirmation, exit price will get worse and may end up panic selling.

    Black Swan Hedging

Here is another idea: exit longs when the price crosses 100 weeks MA. This would save one from dotcom crash, 2008 crash and covid crash. Then enter back in after price moves back above 100 MA. In addition you have cash ready for bargain purchases.

    Bitcoin "Freefall"

I think a better comparison would be against behavior of commodities prices, since we should not compare bitcoin to equities markets. Equities represent real cash generating businesses while bitcoin is not producing any income, at best maybe considered a kind of currency or a commodity with...

Which way? A Gold Timing exercise

Since the thread is more about timing, I focus on short time frame forecast. In the long term, double digit inflation next year may become the catapult you are waiting for.

    Bitcoin "Freefall"

I read above posts and assume the average age of opponents is higher then proponents of bitcoin and it is not to offend anyone. It is a generational bias that is speaking imo. Older generation are conservative and stick to their investing habits while younger generation explore and take risks...

Which way? A Gold Timing exercise

1750 support defended as dollar weakened, thanks to the FED day coincidentally. My current prediction is for gold to drift up for two weeks or more..

    Days I hate..

Apparently there were no more buyers at those price levels and price needed to correct to attract more volume. When price goes too quick and too far from the mean it often corrects. Most often it will range and test prior highs, prior open, close etc. Its useful to have an initial bias prior to...

Which way? A Gold Timing exercise

Gold has got to break north from this triangle by end of Q2 next year, right? Symmetrical triangles break upward 60% of the time in bull market.

    H&S AA

Price has closed below 100 SMA for 3 consecutive days which improves % of a successful breakout south. Last time price stayed below 100 MA for so long was in Oct 20. Now waiting for a throwback and another test of MA this time from below.

Which way? A Gold Timing exercise

The trend which started in Oct is now officially dead. Looking forward to see if 1750 area holds.

I thought pattern traders might find this useful. A broad head&shoulders top pattern is printing on Alcoa daily chart.

Will we ever find out who Satoshi Nakamoto is?

To invent the most disrupting technology of 21st the century (so far) and to hide himself in a cage is an act of utmost introversion.
