Rithmic Announces Nonrenewal of Zen-Fire Use

mirus will probably go the way of the dodo, just like zenfire... but keep in mind one thing... Mirus is a broker, not an FCM.. they introduce to three clearing firms (dorman, RCG, RJO)... each one of those firms has other platforms outside of the NT/ZF fiasco... clients should have...

the cqg spreader is easier to work than tt's.... and tt's charting sucks... I have both... the best thing about TT is ADL for automation... you might end up with both platforms if you need good charts ... so why not just look more into the CQG spreader? just a suggestion...

Margin Question. How much buying power if holding all SPY in an account?

maybe this is simpler... assuming Reg-T which is what you will get with $50K in equities in the account, what will be made available to you is a day trading buying power of four (4) times your maintenance margin excess... assuming the broker does not set aside more for a concentrated...

The top 3 guys who make over 1 million a year at my firm...

I have pretty much tested every platform out there, since I am in IT and a techie geek by choice... and I agree... stay away from esignal... it is awful for charting spreads and their pricing structure just blows... it is better to pay CQGIC the $595+MD fees than to use esignal... a decent...

why would you try to mimic "esignal's" service, they are not all that great... overpriced for the charting and for their market data... in any event, define "mimic"... it is not clear what you are trying to accomplish...

good point about how it was formulated... as to stating that I was asking seriously, is only because I am asking seriously... it is not just the sake of asking or debating but something i am really curious about... because if the answer to it is yes, i can use $1MM notional overnight in with...

    VPS vs. Dedicated servers?

you stated your requirements as - uptime matters to you - latency is not as important - swing trading is your method - using NT7 as platform so given those 'requirements", Just21 has given you the best choice for you... unless you want to deal with managing the server, then do waste...

do you read what you write? better yet, do you even bother to read and understand what others write? and there you go making assumptions... you use softs as an example... and i cant comment on that because the only thing i know about softs comes from a buddy who makes markets on those...

nope.... limit down/up will more than likely have blown through those stops... all offer/bids would have probably been pulled, so you assume price traded through you when that is not always the case...

i think you should read carefully what you are stating and you will see the flaw in your assumption, and therefore your statement... the risk to which you are referring to exists on inter mainly ... for intra, exchange based continue to trade (that has been my personal experience at least)...

spreading does not mean letting go to risk management... and more importantly, common sense... so you are making an assumption based on your own bias and possibly past failures/mistakes about what others believe.

I would be curious to know if they are averaging in when it goes against them? I am going through that right now with my Jan/Mar HO spread...my bias is still there for the direction I am trading, but it has gone against me for the past 2 days about 50% of the "stop"... so debating if to average...
