this is where you went wrong... when they report the P&L to the IRS, they will come collecting, you will then try to claim tax exemption and the IRS will disqualify the plan and you will pay the taxes.. I am not an accountant, but that is what I was told by one when I asked the same...

no idea as to your FCM/Clearing arrangement, but you should be able to create a ledger/sub for the ATS and another for your MTS... and just setup the MTS with the 500 limit for the day... even if you see where the markets are and you already lost the 500, it will not let you open another trade...

thank you for sharing... you kind of reaffirm some of the challenges I had thought about if I ever wanted to trade full time... it takes its toll... that is why I started more taking the approach of diversifying the income streams...I too realized too late that disability as well as long term...

my hero... if I traded full time, for a living, I would certainly be in SoBe... 77th and collins... away from the tourists but still close enough to the beach, hopefully they wont develop ocean terrace and block my view.. but then again, only issue is with the flooding during hurricane season...

I know with their institutional platform you can create subaccounts without any issues... but I am not sure if that can be done as easily with the retail side... I dont think the F&F subs function how you have in mind... you will do best by calling them and asking the question directly.
