I agree if you are saying a person cannot use only a hammer to build a house and that there is a minimum level of skill needed to properly use a hammer. If instead you mean a hammer cannot be used to build a house, that is a conclusion I do not understand.

"Entitled" is an interesting choice of words. Regardless, the issue is not whether performance bonuses should be paid (they should be). The debate is about their magnitude and the basis for payout.

In my last regular job, the largest portion of executive bonuses was based upon three-year performance.

Agreed (but, I might argue for a three-year term).

We do not suggest you overtrade, instead the concern is that you could be undertrading. Reaching a daily profit goal is not sufficient reason to cease trading, anymore than being short that target good enough reason to continue.
