Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

It is the first time in years that shorts found some downside acceleration away from entry. Even in 2015-16, until the sharp January break there was a lot of time spent re-testing upper resistance areas. This is also why a parabola is deadly because the breaks are fast and furious and catch...

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

The 2000-02 bear market chopped off just over 50%, 2008-09 chopped off 57%. 45% would be right in line with it and would simply be re-testing the 2000 and 2007 highs.

Start of a bear market - DJIA January 2018

These were the same questions being asked prior to 2007-08. We know where the "new money" came from to support the equity markets, it was called Quantitative Easing. The demographic black hole was real and still is. Remember all of the equity outflows as the market was rising during long...

Yes, usually some form of a failed secondary high weeks/months later.

a). He gave you the forecast. b). He does not need to explain to "jinxu" why he gave his forecast. c). You will dismiss the data/evidence to support your opposing narrative.

Start of a bear market - DJIA January 2018

Why don't you re-read it with some critical thinking skills? He might be wrong or he might be right, but he certainly has offered an opinion that is unique and is rarely discussed. It might be more along the lines of the Fourth Turning or something similar, a.k.a. a generational purging of...

If the market closes weak tomorrow, you know the drill.

Nine_Ender: Here is the proof that you are an absolute imbecile. Now you can kindly remove your post above that implies that I had any imagined conversation with you. For future reference, Volente and KevinD are not even remotely similar names

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

LOL, I did see that. Seriously, never talked to this moron before on any thread and he starts some imaginary b.s. about a post I never even made. I suspect he saw that I put a "like" to someone that he has a problem with and now he's stalking me like he seems to stalk many others on this site.

Hey Nine_Ender, I understand English is your second language, but it would help us all if you actually "quoted" what someone else says and NOT simply twist words in that demented mind of yours. Here is what I wrote on Jan 25, 2018. (Note, the SPX was not at 2400), but please let's not let...

No, sir, that is what we call "projection". Once again, please find these imaginary posts where I said, "Nobody could call a correction". They don't exist as I was not posting here when the S&P 500 was trading at 2400.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

Where did I say that "nobody could time this correction"? I literally have made a handful of posts on here, but don't let that get in the way of the imaginary voices in your head. By the way, moron, I wasn't even on this site when the SPX was trading at 2400. So please, check yourself into...

I notice that you stalk anyone and everyone who talks about downside risk.

Bigger picture, if ES doesn't bounce at say 2595 and there is weakness tomorrow, well, that could be pretty disastrous. Two weak Friday's in a row would not be a good thing for this market. Even a test of the 200day MA in cash SPX puts this market in a precarious place. btw, kudos to all you...

I believe we hit it on futures the night we were almost limit down, but the cash market never got close to it.

That's a solid entry. First rally high from the other night at 44.75. Looks like a range up to 67 area.

Notice the close right on the number for last day of 2017. It seems like it wants to enter the alternating down/up/down type patterns in this high volatility chop. Was looking for the down move to continue when it broke below 2700 in early afternoon, but it entered that wild chopping zone instead.

XIV trader: ‘I’ve lost $4 million, 3 years of work and other people’s money’

I hear ya. I've seen that sort of thing happen over and over again with all the booms and busts the past 20 years. These markets seem to always have a sort of hyped gimmick trade that people latch onto for a long enough stretch to produce some wild gains before giving it all back. You guys...
