I just talked with someone from Tradestation. They said that Schwab (who owns CyberTrader) also owns ARCA. Is this correct? I wonder if this is the reason for their inferior smart executions. Maybe they're attempting to route everything to ARCA.

I agree with you totally here, but I think he was asking whether you would get screwed by Cyber if you routed directly. If that's the case, I think you would get a fair fill, but I agree, it's very difficult not to have the best smart order routing algorithm.

I'm pretty sure you'd be ok doing that. I also had a problem with quotes. When the market was busy, right at the open for example, there would be all kinds of frozen quotes, usually all on one side (bid or ask).
