Yes you are right. 10850K would be better than 10700k for a bit of money. I think good CPU and good RAM can solve the issue. If you go to Multicharts system requirements, they mention you need at least 8cores if you are running more than 10 charts, so I don't think it is any different for TWS...

You mean trial mode? When you connect through IB API are you also using IB data feed? I thought its just to connect your brokerage account
