How accurate is First In First Out on the DOM?

I feel like sometimes I put in at a tick, wait a bit, see the bid/ask spread apart with my order in the middle, but it doesn't get filled, and then the bid/ask tightens up again. Is this due to my data feed not including all exchanges?

    Option Trading Journal.

High is relative; are you predicting these stocks' volatility decreasing relatively?

Mechanically, how do spread orders execute?

I can leg into a spread manually by trading the legs, but what is IB or any other broker doing if I were to put in a limit order for the spread? Are they just automating the individual legs? How does this work with the giving and taking of liquidity on different legs? Are common spreads...

How would future economies work when 90% of jobs are replaced by robots/computers?

Personally, I see some sort of UBI being phased in along with automation. You don't want it too high to start or you'll overdo it on job loss. Enough to keep people alive and consuming but not enough to abandon all paid labor entirely. I feel like it has appeal across the broad spectrum...

Prudent Risk Management Is The Only True Edge In TRADING

Like I said, this all feels like semantics. What is the accepted definition of risk management? I can call a calculated investment in materials and workers risk management. I am staking an investment with a timeframe and a profit target. Walking down the street to the deli for a sandwich is...

Requesting help to find a simple monitor solution.

If you don't need them for anything but trading and graphs, forget any aesthetics and go with the cheapest used monitors from craigslist. Curved is a gimmick, resolution doesn't mean much without considering size/DPI. I have a 40" 4K, which is equivalent to 4x 20" 1080 panels. Don't go...

Prudent Risk Management Is The Only True Edge In TRADING

I think this is all semantics. Entries, exits, and sizing are calculated based on risk, no? It's all the same.

    Supply-Side economics. Why?

I think we're splitting hairs here; a trade war and a currency war are practically the same thing, they both require policy. Maintaining the current trade balance involves China constantly buying US treasuries to maintain a specific trade imbalance. Adjusting the trade imbalance will force...

    Supply-Side economics. Why?

I'm saying that any long term effects can still be negated depending on the other country's fiscal policy. What if the other country continues escalating its subsidies?

    Supply-Side economics. Why?

But what happens if another country subsidizes foreign employers just enough to completely undo the tariff? As soon as I say "sending jobs overseas will cost you an extra dollar" you say "we'll subsidize you a dollar if you employ over here." Then it just comes down to who has more currency to...

    Supply-Side economics. Why?

If I tariff your goods coming into my country, and you decide to subsidize your producers to neutralize their lost profits, then it becomes a matter of who can afford to keep doing it.

Any suggested rules for purchasing and executing discounted calls?

If anything is discounted, I suggest you buy it. Unless you're dividend capturing or otherwise dealing with liquidity issues in the underlying, I suggest you don't exercise them, because you'll lose the time premium.

    Hard Stop loss

Options, if you absolutely insist on no stops. My only question is how you exit if you never want to use a stop or decide mentally, as that seems to be most of the ideas.

    Crooked brokerage employees.

How did the algo stealing happen? You catch them in the act, or found signs of breaking & entering around your system?

    Supply-Side economics. Why?

Just asking a question; no points meant. Do we want a currency war?

    Supply-Side economics. Why?

How would a tariff lead to inflation? Would a tariff lead to trade wars?

    Crooked brokerage employees.

I would love to hear the details of either of these. A stranger approached you on the street to ask you how your trading was going? Presumably the broker decided you were profitable enough to stalk in under a week? And then had their spy blow her cover? How did they try to steal your algo...

    Crooked brokerage employees.

If your algo is worth stealing, you could probably afford a better broker as well as security.

IB has a tool like that, with %profit chance, %max profit chance, %max loss chance, size of those values.
