    Expert looking for Partner

Good questions, but "No, not necessarily...". What I'm looking for is a Partner [message title] TO WORK WITH (and capital is good, obviously). The terms of any particular arrangement or relationship need to be flexible and defined by the dynamics of that situation, including the wants and...

Charged anew 11,000% of comm. fees for 1900 trades, and 570% of money used to trade

I had a similar thing happen long ago when I first started trading...and opened an additional 3rd account with $15k with a new broker to check them out. A few days later I realized that instead of $15k they had credited the account with $50k (plus margin), so I said what the heck and bought...

    Is my career over?

First, foremost and finally... You need to have a plan for every trade: a) a predefined expectation and anticipated price for entry, b) a projection of where it it's going - which if not confirmed means get out now, c) a point of exit, which when reached is time to close the position...

Charged anew 11,000% of comm. fees for 1900 trades, and 570% of money used to trade

If the facts are true, then you have no legal exposure stating the Broker's name.

Charged anew 11,000% of comm. fees for 1900 trades, and 570% of money used to trade

I think the Moderators should delete this thread in its entirety. Somehow, I just don't buy any of the facts alluded to and it's my belief the reason TraderManiac (a newcomer) can't state the name of who he's accusing is because the situation illustrated is "made-up" and he'd be liable for...

which more advanced methods would you look at ...

It's a legitimate question, interesting, and seems well worthy of discussion! And yet, as nononsense well pointed out, even when one has 'the answer' (and there are many) the road may or may not lead to quintessence or success. -imho, of course...

Where do REAL day traders chat?

Once those "hot tips" get posted to a board or into the channel...you're already late. Better to find and trade them on your own (imo). But if you're starting out and trying to learn, then my experience is shelling out a little cash for a few months in a good room can help you gain knowledge...

    Expert looking for Partner

I agree...and the basic stuff, the things people do every day are missing! For example, I want a "Flip" button that will cancel my trailing stop, close the position, take a contra position and automatically apply its trailing stop...all that with one click and happening in a few...

My dilemma - too good to be true? How long can I last?

Cheetos, congratulations! If this were a final Exam you would score high (imo); pre-market research (A) quick pre-trade analysis (A) monitoring news & sentiment during the day (A) tracking primary market indicators (A) using TA strategy that works for you (A) balanced short and long...

    Automated Trading From Excel

sle, You should be able to do everything that's needed in Excel/VBA and what you'll need for that is an Execution component that's written in COM, so you can integrate it with VBA. The programming is straight forward and COM objects have Methods and Properties you can set to execute your...

    Automated Trading From Excel

sle, You might want to look at VB.NET instead of doing it in excel, the language is predominantly the same VBA you're using in Excel, you will have far more flexibility, and your program will run faster and smoother. -jmho

    Computer Guys?

Clarification on 4G memory with Windows XP Pro: Kernel will use 2G for itself, paging, etc Applications can use the other 2G (total among them) You can 'tweek' BOOT.INI with the /3GB switch, which will adjust the Kernal to 1G and Applications to 3G, but in my experience this degrades...
