Traderzone.... I am in the middle of writing a book in my spare time on how the stockbroker fad turned into the prop trader fad. I'm trying to get input from people that worked at some of these firms in new york.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with figuring it out yourself. You just have to have enough control that you don't get a head of yourself and risk more than you can afford. If you trade 100 or 200 share lots of normal stocks you have plenty of time to learn and try different approaches...
