I agree with Redneck Trader 100%. Your trading method must produce certain results but money management keep you in the game when even placing "correct" trades go wrong for you. I guess it all boils down to let your winners runs and keep your loses small.

I agree 50-55 & 200-205 EMAs are very powerful. I think most of the institutional mechanical systems must use those time frames. I find there is always a lot of breakouts at them. Again there is no mindless rule to trade from but they can be very helpful

I think the boredom factor gets way too underplayed. I have gone back and forth about trading full time. I like my job in the IT industry and the social interaction I have there. On days where I only trade I kind of feel isolated. It's weird. I trade Europe (dax/ftse) in the morning then go to work.
