Buffet sells way out of the money puts

Cool story from the dude that doesn't know how to figure profit and loss on a covered call.

Buffet sells way out of the money puts

Since I did make money selling DITM calls, according to you I did make money shorting puts.

Buffet sells way out of the money puts

    I don't trade puts.

Buffet sells way out of the money puts

I don't sell naked. I don't trade puts. I don't trade spreads. I'm making money on DITM covered calls in this bearish, volatile environment.

Buffet sells way out of the money puts

I dunno. I figure DITM covered calls on the travel industry are some of the best opportunities.

SQQQ UVXY & other inverses: Bear trading tips

There are some ETF opportunities now competitive with stocks, and I have traded ETFs before and never noticed significant ETF fees, but what is the real cost of trading ETFs compared to trading stocks feewise?

SQQQ UVXY & other inverses: Bear trading tips

Theoretically, they may be good bets to a seasoned pro, but Murphy's Law tends to rule over ETFs and bear trading for me.

    Why will this not work?

You might be holding $750 TSLA after it crashes to $100, but I'll be out of it with a $20 profit.

    Why will this not work?

The way I figure it, TSLA covered calls are bulletproof right now. $750.09. 3/13 100 call bid $650.30. TSLA could fall to $100 and there would be $20 profit.

S&P 500 Sector ETF Momentum Rankings

I changed the covered call screener setting. Seems like I get narrowed-down realistic chances of making a modest profit on stocks that have bottomed out and I don't get so many IPOs.

Are Traders Finally Done With TastyTrade?

Tastytrade's big spiel is nobody can predict the future so you have to be non-directional to be profitable? I never could figure out how to trade profitable without being directional. I quit credit spreads and such when they drove me crazy from worrying about them and I could see I wasn't making...

S&P 500 Sector ETF Momentum Rankings

The only screener I use now is the covered call screener. Gotta trade where the money is. The LRC 600,2 and LRC 600,4 make a four-lane. The LRC 600,2 contains 95% of all prices. The LRC 600,4 contains 99% of all prices. If the MACDs are favorable, the price could rise over a lane in two weeks...

Is it dumb money leaving the market?

You're supposed to "get flat" in a time of crisis. I finally "got flat" except for high-paying covered calls. Coronavirus may be way overblown, but the world markets down drag the U.S. markets down and the Democrats and fake news can harp on coronavirus all day every day until the election and...

Hmm. SVXY went down. Well, it was getting overbought.

I was buying along and I bought some Wayfair and it seemed like a real honey hole, so I checked to see if it is listed on the Snider Advisors Free Covered Call Screener, which I haven't been using lately, and it was. What if Snider Advisor quits offering it? I hadn't figured out how to use the...
