Strangely, charts are missing from this page, too... http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=113310&perpage=6&pagenumber=599 I was able to find the chart Romanus posted from that day on my computer. Hope you don't mind the repost, Romanus.

Hi Brandx, I had the same issue with volume on QCharts (only for the most recent trading day). If you're using QCharts 6.0, you could be experiencing a bug that's causing the problem. It should be resolved on the next release. I downloaded QCharts 5.1 and the volume was no longer a problem...

    Iterative Refinement

LittleMac, good question and I do not know if this is right, but here's my attempt. I would encapsulate that area as a chubby tape that gets fanned (red to yellow to green to blue) all while keeping in mind ticktrade's idea of looking "for where the last traders caught on the wrong side of the...

Romanus, 3b - the formation FBO on increasing red volume signals change. You can find one explanation of this by Spyder here. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1912293&highlight=missed+signal#post1912293 For your # 1, the ES IBGS low reacted off of the 20 SMA.

    Iterative Refinement

The methodology is applicable to any liquid market on any time frame. The market always provides signals. That's its job. As traders, our job is to interpret the market's signals and act accordingly. A key feature of this methodology is that experts always know what's happening at any...

    Iterative Refinement

The methodology uses channels to help determine the underlying trend and anticipate future price movement using points 1, 2, and 3. Points one and three are used to construct a right trend line that extends into the future (white space). We clone the RTL (create a parallel line) and place the...

    Iterative Refinement

Hi Spyder. I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but will try. Price volatility is proportional to volume pace, making volume a leading indicator of price movement. The disproportional occurrence of price and volume signal the expectation of change.

Higher volume, price translates better. Lower volume, price has more "noise".

    Iterative Refinement

Yep. Price went out of the pennant going up, but turned right back around intrabar and said, "uh uh." IMO, one could view the inside bar with increasing volume as a change signal (to anticipate going long) and then view the IBGS/FBO the following bar as another change signal (to expect a...

One more in 3 words or less: Volume leads price.

Another attempt: Large volume means lots of volatility. Small volume means low volatility. If not, expect change.
