    Network Attached Storage

They mention FTP servers so I guess it would work with an internet connected NAS... thanks for the head's up... It just hit me, I have the toaster, if I want remote encrypted archival storage I can backup to a hard drive, bag it up, and take it across the street to my friend's house and stick...

China pulls ahead in Stem Cells, U.S. invests in old businesses (autos, finance)

President Bush denied the use of federal funds for stem cell research harvested from embryos. The left, disguised as scientists, went ballistic, yelling about how millions of people would suffer... meanwhile, embryonic stem cell research elsewhere in the world produced nothing!! The research...

Great interview w/ William Black fixing the bank scam (prev. on Bill Moyers)

C'mon, not giving those loans high ratings would have been "mean spirited" :)

China pulls ahead in Stem Cells, U.S. invests in old businesses (autos, finance)

California took a four billion dollar bond out a few years ago to foster stem cell therapy... I have not heard of any successes from the research to date... You can go outside the US and Canada and get it already, I have no idea if it works that well or not...

    Author predicted crisis, predicts inflation

Funny, I've been finding reasons to have a lot more confidence in the economies of the world in general just the last few days... does the chart indicate direction or just a turning point?

    Where is Barry?

The means exist to take care of any of these situations. The political will and savvy does not. It's due to the intellectual bankruptcy of the left.

    Network Attached Storage

I had HP's backup system but they shut it down. The thing was it was archival and their software included capabilities to do my local backups to a toaster. I quit looking for remote backup solutions, I got sick of it all, you can't answer your questions about the service except by signing up...

    Author predicted crisis, predicts inflation

Armstrong was incredible as an academic, what happened when he did that Japanese thing is unreal. He is a patriot, maybe some big money came in to screw his life up and he responded badly. They sure screwed up his life after that, no constitutional rights at all, forget it...

Great interview w/ William Black fixing the bank scam (prev. on Bill Moyers)

The lenders were legally able to move loans off the books to keep their debt to asset ratio in the right ballpark so they did... they lent a lot more money than they should have if Congress was doing it's job but the government wanted people to have houses regardless. How they got AAA ratings on...

China Turns a Corner as Spending Takes Hold

International commerce is picking up, has been doing so since January, it's still at record lows however. Pretty soon it will be in the range of more normal lows like in 2005, maybe by July. It will be years before it gets to July 08 levels for sure... that was the financial income bubble, forty...

Zooming into large plots [in R, perhaps?]

How does esig do it? Selection of an area with the mouse and zooming would be ideal. With Ninjatrader you can set up two charts, one tick and the other time bars or whatever does it best for you. Set each chart to have global cursors, select the area of interest by clicking on the time bars...

    Personal economic observations part I

I'm going to check it out, living in So. Cal is sort of dreary... except that I can have Mediterranean weather in Santa Barbara and even better weather in San Diego, can sail the Pacific and ski in Big Bear... on the same weekend, and I have not even mentioned the northern half yet... yeah, I...

    Beating the coming inflation

Look at things from Obama's viewpoint, assuming he can figure this out, maybe somebody has to tell him about it... he has a perfect storm approaching already, it's in plain view, not hidden like this economic-school garbage... the aging baby boomers are starting to take the benefits they so...

China's Foreign Reserves Hit $1.95 Trillion

We need revolution in the form of the ten to fifteen percent consumption tax. That's all the entire public sector gets, they have to live within that. Define their role as securing the borders, infrastructure, and overseeing the greedy and criminal with some tight loops on their behavior...

    Beating the coming inflation

We could have a perfect storm: Too much money in circulation, a rapid rise in the velocity of money due to a rapid unfreezing of credit, an oil shock, say if Iran gets nuked, and some currency races to the bottom, all coupled with some kind of change in the psychology of people. The fact...

How I was banned from TheologyWeb

Things intrigue me... prophecy is intriguing.. basically, it's not written so that Intellectual Theologians [IT's] can figure out what it's about, it's written so that when it happens you can't miss it.. In ancient Israel they had prophecy schools. Some kook didn't just jump up and start...

How I was banned from TheologyWeb

Things intrigue me... the second chapter of Revelation talks to the seven churches. Most theologians agree that they were actual existent churches of the day, and that the writing is prophetical... seven churches and seven ages of the church... Chuck Missler analyzed those stories and found that...
