because u talk about fear and panic and pulling bids and then talk about going long. If you are looking for a climax bottom then you have to dislodge the trading longs so you can get long, ie you need them to panic out so that you have your 'tradable bottom', thus ur attempts to scare longs...

i had to make a judgement call today so i covered my goog short @ 305 because there are some better situations developing, i think the downside for goog is 240-270 max area short-term unless they have a wicked earnings warning, anyway I had some other better risk/reward so I covered, otherwise...

i brought in my puts for around +$2, now just holding the common short, will bail on 313.50, looking for a sharp up move in the market, question is does goog lag it or follow, if it snaps back i'm out, if it lags then there are hidden sellers to take us lower.. right now goog is laggard to...

ok i bought oct 310 puts today at 6.31, price of goog was around 314.25

maybe GM was manipulating them cause its cheaper than having to hold the bag thru bankruptcy! for your black helicopter fans!

it could also be risk reward, if they figure out that out of 1 out of 4 will come thru, and the payback is 5:1, then its worth doing. Just playing the odds I would think.

yea.. i closed the goog straddle i'm just not happy with it, I'm going to wait and take a directional trade once we have a better idea of direction, I still think its lower but standing aside for now

hehe, well i took sold my es today, covered my unleaded gas this morning (killer trade +65% per contract), went long crude .. AND took a straddle on GOOG with oct calls + puts @ 310 strike. If it doesn't make a big move in 3 days or so I'll close out the position. I'm leaning towards it sinking...
