I've read als books and if I am not mistaken he talks a lot about fading them! Not really why people make such a big deal about brooks if you don't like him don't read his books!
I agree with nodoji about volman his book offers many great with trend set ups and honestly unless you are a seasoned pro we shouldn't be trading anything but with trend!
Brooks has a lot in his books that can help an average trader but he offers no trading method just ideas, my opinion is that you have to find a style that fits your personality and study hard but it's taking me alot longer than a month to START to understand price action!
I think Al Brooks is a good teacher of price action trading his teachings sometimes seems complicated but his knowlege of the market cannot be questioned! Every time I have emailed him he has always been very fast in his response.
Totally disagree about the charts there are rules to follow and if you follow the road map a chart gives you there is clearly an advantage with charts. I have never traded off of strictly dom but wouldn't dream of not using a chart and trading off of pure price action!
Does anyone trade the mini russell 2000 and if you do do you have issues with slippage? Also some people say to stay away from the es what are your thoughts?
Nnot saying als books are easy to read but I think there is some good information! Basically what I liked about the books are the importance of every bar! Price action is what the professionals use but not easy! If you like the price action you check out priceactiontradingsytem.com
We live out in the country and the only internet option is satellite so I wasn't sure if this could be the problem because it wouldn't connect with qcg but I have had no problems with strategy runner or global zen trader!
I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with wireless internet while trading futures! I have been using wireless with my demo but my broker said they didn't recomend using wireless! Any thoughts?
my opinion is you can trade small trends intra day reading price action, anyone day trading really doesnt have to worry about anything except support/resistance and price action.
Which one trades better the es or the nq? i have read many reports that say nq trends beter than the es and since my method is based off of a 30 minute chart instead of 5 minute being on the right side of the trend is a must!
