Who is your favorite permabull to ridicule?

Kernen's favorite line: "I found a stock that has deteriorated in value over 25% today. Real serious issues about accounting, CFO has quit. Tell ya about it next" -Look away from camera with stern look on face. Cut to commercial-

Who is your favorite permabull to ridicule?

Today there were doctoring up a photo of Kernen just like we did last week with Liesman, etc. It's one thing to do it in a setting like this where we're having fun. But on national TV on a cough! ahem! business channel? What assholes that outfit employs.

eSignal 7.0 - new charts, formula script, & drawing tools.

One problem in the most recent release (build 455) was on 30-minute charts. The chart is set to stop at 4pm ET but the last bar would continue to print including the after-hours. Close and re-open the chart solves the problem - until the next after-hours price is posted. Then the opening and...

    What has been working well?

My trading style is long-term daytrader, using 5-minute bars and pure technical analysis meaning higher-hi's and higher-lows (or vice versa for shorts) and support-resistance (helpful sometimes with a 10-day 30-minute chart). I don't have the balls for overnight holds and scalping is not my style.

    MACK -DEE or M_A_C_D

We always called it Mack-D. Of course we also say "klack" instead of KLAC, "ay-mat" for AMAT, "pet 'em" for PETsMART (PETM) and "inferior but marketable" for IBM :D

New IB user Ready to Quit

White - IB-Steve on the messageboard is very helpful and ususally responds within a day or so of the post.

eSignal 7.0 - new charts, formula script, & drawing tools.

I'll also be interested in when all the other bugs, especially with standard charts, is fixed. New features are nice but not when they come at the expense of existing ones not working right. I know these are beta releases but the so-called official one back at 7.0/7.01 was problematic so where...

    Wash Sales

As long as you're not in the position on Dec 31 it doesn't matter. You can't claim the loss on a stock until you sell it down the road. Since for most daytraders 'down the road' means (12) 5-minute bars later - who cares. :D

New IB user Ready to Quit

If you sent a check they'll hold it for 2 weeks - the longest of any broker. IB takes a bit of getting used to but they are a super outfit. I've been with them for almost a year now.

Who is your favorite permabull to ridicule?

He fits right in. Wasn't Bartiromo or her husband involved in some stock chicanery at some time?

    IB Downtime

All brokers suffer the same crap at different times, and always when you're in the market otherwise you'd never notice. Might as well pay the lowest freight. My vote is with IB.

Anybody make out huge on short side?

Took NVLS for a nice -1.10 point ride later in the day. Looked like it was getting ready to bounce off a double intraday bottom at 1:40 ET then all of a sudden . . . . glub glub glub. Gotta love this market.

Who is your favorite permabull to ridicule?

This is why I love being a daytrader. Who gives a rat's ass where the top, bottom or next rally comes from. As long as the market moves. Let the buy and holders worry about it.

o 2 b If you're using TWS on an ethernet your network card may be at fault. Some mfrs don't work reliably with it believe it or not. Linksys cards have been a ballbreaker with the Java-based TWS.

Who is your favorite permabull to ridicule?

CNBC's current bullshit that it's "healthy" for the market to drop 200+ points after such a runup. Seems to me that when a market closes at or near the low of a long black candlestick that is anything but healthy.
