Good broker for automated futures and options trading?

Thx for the feedback. So the point of their API is purely for getting the market data, is that right? So you are not submitting any orders through it, it's just for the ZenFire data? Ordinarily I'm opposed to running code that I didn't write for my trading systems, I would like a pure TCP/IP...

Good broker for automated futures and options trading?

Thanks, but I couldn't find any info on the API on their website. Not a big fan of NinjaTrader, I'd like a raw API that I can write to from C++, preferably one that is TCP/IP based.

Good broker for automated futures and options trading?

I know MB Trading has an API and seems friendly to developers. Any other brokers that might have better infrastructure (I don't know what MB's infrastructure is, I just mean are there any that are as friendly as MB but have faster execution or more reliable uptime?). Thx.

When you trade for a day trading firm or prop shop, must you be licensed?

I see. So are there any good estimates on the number of people trading within day trading or prop firms in the US and Europe? Is it in the thousands or tens of thousands?

When you trade for a day trading firm or prop shop, must you be licensed?

I read an article saying there were ~6000 licensed traders in 2004. Surely there were more than 6000 people trading at day trading or prop trading firms in 2004, right? Does license mean something above and beyond the trader who is hired at say a Bright Trading type of gig?

How many TradingTechnology/X_Trader users are there?

Trading Technologies claims it accounts for more "50 percent of the combined electronic volume on the world’s six leading derivatives exchanges". Are most X_Trader users individual active traders or are they trading at prop firms?

    Did Goldman Goose Oil?

+1. Iran hasn't started a war in how long? They are the single biggest financial supporter of Jew and American murdering terrorists on the face of this earth. These kinds of comments are not worth a response on some levels but in order to keep people from thinking this kind of revisionist...

Can anyone recommend a good charting app for options?

I posted this in options but I can already tell I'm not going to get answers there. I'm looking for a good charting app that will show me tables of the strikes. I can't find this anywhere without using a broker's app. I use IQFeed.

Can anyone recommend a good charting app for options?

Specifically one that shows tables of strikes, and is clearly meant for options? I can't find anything in the mainstream that looks good.

Anyone have opinions of Hedgestreet and their binary options?

Reposting this here because it got no responses in the Options forum: Anyone have any thoughts on Hedgestreet's FX binary options? They're CFTC regulated and an NFA member. Their FX binary options they settle using the Reuters FX feed, which means you don't have to worry about them yanking...

    E-Trade + TT_Trader = Reliable for futures?

I understand the commissions are not great. I really would like to focus on whether or not there are any liabilities with their execution, their platform support, their system, etc. You mentioned MF Global. Are they considered in a good light? If so, then it would possible be a positive...

    Best choices for FX options?

Suggestions out of these possibilities of FX related options? Philadelphia World Currency (NASDAQ)? CME? ISE? OTC with FCMs (don't like this idea at all) The ICE (Options on Euro Index Futures and US Dollar Index Futures) Does or has anyone traded these? Any suggestions on which way to go?

Anyone have opinions of Hedgestreet and their binary options?

They're CFTC regulated and an NFA member. Their FX binary options they settle using the Reuters FX feed, which means you don't have to worry about them yanking strings on you (if you're coming from the FX spot world of arbitrary pricing). I am interested in trading on their exchange...

    E-Trade + TT_Trader = Reliable for futures?

These are all good questions. Their commissions and margin rates are indeed higher than many popular brokers here. That all said, none of this addresses the issue of network reliability, order routing reliability, support of the TT platform and the overall issue of execution speed as it compares...

    E-Trade + TT_Trader = Reliable for futures?

Not sure I answered my own question about reliability. Yes, fees and cost of entry it's definitely not competitive. But is it reliable? Can you share whatever reasons you had in mind for not trading futures through them? Thanks.

    E-Trade + TT_Trader = Reliable for futures?

E-Trade is offering no platform fee for TT_Trader for those who want to trade futures. Margin rates seem higher than many of the smaller firms that advertise on ET and are known to have very good data feeds. My question is how good is their execution, throughput and stability during...

The best data feed with QuoteTracker?

Fancy that, that's very cool. I think though it's for registration only right? If you switch from an existing platform, you don't get the discount do you?

The best data feed with QuoteTracker?

Their rates up. $50/month base fee, plus exchanges. And it's much more than $4 if you want CME, and other stuff like that. But good to know it works well with QuoteTracker.

The best data feed with QuoteTracker?

What about IQFeed? They are supposed to be one of the better ones for the price.
