    socialism in America.

My father passed away a few years ago, but I was, and still am actively involved in the asset management, and built my own stake seperately as well. But that’s not the point. If the parent wishes the hard earned assets get transferred to the child, regardless of their contribution or lifestyle...

    socialism in America.

Your thinking is flawed. Maybe that parent worked 20 hours a day, and sacrificed their family life and health to build that dynasty. I know my father did. I’ll fight the government tooth and nail to preserve what he built, and make sure it gets passed down to the next generation.

    Daytrading & Divorce.....

Not sure WTF my ex had going on upstairs, but after 3 years of waiting for the courts to finalize, I went to pick up my daughter the next week, and the ex was babbling something in my ear. I told her "I'm sorry, but you're going to have to find someone else to listen to you". Haven't spoken one...

Day trade - books indications - price action

I don’t think you understand the capabilities of your competition. For example, I can extract 500 variations of a trade, of one instrument, in one trading session. This can’t be done without major computing power. No monkey, scratching their head in front of a DOM can do this. I can only imagine...

    Daytrading & Divorce.....

I’m not sure I follow here. So basically, if your wife sucked every cock within a 25 mile radius, while you worked 16 hours a day to make ends meet for your family, you wouldn’t think about “that divorce”?

Day trade - books indications - price action

Those days are over. Algorithms make up most of the liquidity now. They will always execute faster. Studying and interacting with DOM/orderflow is fine and dandy, but only for the purpose of eventually designing your own competing algorithm. I guarantee you won’t make one red cent otherwise.

    Your Dream Trading Platform

What a brilliant plan. Might as well donate to a good charity, as it's much more rewarding.

Anyone interested in developing a new trading platform?

Not just me. With the explosion of quantitative and algorithmic trading, this would be cutting edge. The execution part of it would be the major hurdle.

Anyone interested in developing a new trading platform?

If you can develop a stable and trustworthy Python, event-driven analysis/automation platform, you’d be golden. I have yet to find one, and some pretty smart guys have been trying to tackle it. Tick data capability would be mandatory. Here is one example: https://www.quantstart.com/qstrader

how did successful traders learn how to trade?

Mistakes, or real trades won’t teach you anything if you have no brain. People die repeating the same mistakes.

how do i learn how to trade?

If you’re talking intraday, you have to understand order book dynamics inside and out, and then figure out how to apply the math to it, all within a volatility based contextual model. Very hard puzzle to solve on your own without crossing the brink of insanity. If you want to trade overnights...

    Daytrading & Divorce.....

I was you at a point in my life. Until you actually experience a divorce, your outlook won’t change. I don’t hate women, but will never prioritize one again.

    Anyone use moving average indicators?

Just test MA variations out for yourself. Best way to kill the curiosity. I never found value in them.
