Yeah, go with the MX440 card for about 30 bucks, as it's still modern and useable. It's really not sensible to save 10-15 bucks and try to pick up a used obselete card off ebay. If you do need a PCI card for some reason, I suppose try and find an old Matrox Millennium 2.

Read read read read get a live feed and watch charts every day .. do not trade, do not buy courses or pay for some monthly chat room service.. You'll want to get as much screen time and knowledge before even thinking about trading, making your learning process as cheap as possible...

Look at all the Fridays in the past year, you'll typically find an early manipulated push before reversing very hard. The big money want to get their order in off their weekly bars and bait the market to get a better fill.

Nothing really wrong with getting in impulse trades, it's when you know that it's not looking good and you go into "hope mode"... You need to know when something is turning or different from what you anticipate and get out at a negligible small loss.

There are many books that give little pieces of the puzzle, but nothing step by step. If it was so easy to make money for life buy reading a single book, we'd all be billionaires. As for floor traders making money, certainly.. but they paid for their edge.

Go after the larger swings and not every little wiggle. I find them more useful for projection purposes rather than retracement.

Trade another vehicle.. most people that daytrade stocks end up losing most people that are undercapped end up losing I think the rules were a meant to protect the little guy in some deluded kind of way.

I bought the first two Trend Dynamics volumes off ebay for $50 , they were written in 1994 and seemed outstanding for its time. Mostly based on price bar action and pre computer age trading. I do recommend it as a decent read, but did not find anything useful for my trading.

Sharing is not really going to make much of a difference. Every one is their own individual and will warp your ideas into their own mold, rendering it useless and then brand you a fraud because they cannot make money off it. Welcome to trading.

I have that first book and it's not as bad as the reviews would seem... and it's 5 bucks on the US Amazon.

That list has been around for years, but it's still good to read. Took me 2+ years to reach step 35.

There's the learning portion as well.. 2 years of daytrading is comparable to 20-30 years of swing trading, in terms of bars. It would be a shame to take 20 years before you realize that your method doesn't work.

Haven't had any problems that I can blame on the patch.. Windows has it's own problems as it is.
