My understanding is that US style CTA either doesn't exist or isn't favourable in UK, Europe. The preferred route for small funds/seeder hedge is to go the 'managed account' route. These guys deal with everything helping individuals starts funds and create track records...

Yes I got long equities by taking a position in the Dow as I figured it would outperform the S&P which it has. I got long the Sept future 21270 planning to hold until weekend minimum. edit ps - i bought with an initial 50 point stop, currently +230 point up cheers
