Verizon instituted a $2.00 charge for the privilege of paying your bill but rescinded it because of heavy consumer outrage. So, some corporations are forced to listen to their customers. Maybe there's hope for QT if we pull on TDA's chain hard enough.

Good Idea but I think it would be more effective if we contact someone in upper management who would be concerned if enough people threatened to find another broker if QT is dumped. Anyone know the e-mail address of the CEO?

If tdAmeritrade does throw QT (and many customers) in the trashcan, how difficult (and how legal) would it be for a good programer to write a patch to restore the data source? If hackers can break into Department of Defense computers, I think they could do that.

I set "BigCharts" as the backfill source but can't see anywhere to show yield. Also with a monthly dividend stock such as NTX, several dividends for this year are missing which is why I preferred being able to use the BigChart option. Thanks Jerry.

I used to use both of them. Historical charts seems to have trouble showing dividend payments and there is no indicator for dividend yield.

Is there a patch to restore the BigCharts options when right clicking on a stock?

I think we should all follow freewilly's advice. One thing we have going for us is that people who use QuoteTracker probably do a lot more trading than the average TDameritrade customer and enough lost commissions might wake them up.

Thanks for the reply. I have historical backfill set to BigCharts but I've tried Yahoo too. When I right click on a stock and select big charts I still get "error fetching charts". Works fine for historical charts. Is it still working for you and do you use program version 3.9.8? thanks

Maybe if all Quote Tracker users sent TDAmeritrade an e-mail saying we will switch brokerage firms if we can't use QT, they would change their minds. Fidelity and some other firms offer cheaper rates but I would stay with Ameritrade just for QT.

For me, Quote Tracker is the best stock trading software and I hope it will not be shut down. But for the last few days when clicking on Big Charts it reports "error fetching charts". It always worked before and I can go to Big Charts website and see the chart but it's not as convenient as...
