Anyone have an opinion on CAD right now? I've been short EUR/CAD since the deal announced in Europe a few days ago - a position that is flat at the moment. The trade assumes CAD benefit from a risk-on type mentality, coupled with fundamental issues in Europe. Some decent USD news hasn't...

What Do the Majority of Chinese Millionaires Aspire to Do? Answer: Leave the Country

Economic opportunities are abound in China, but freedom is non-existant. It makes perfect sense why a Chinese man would want to make his fortune and then get the fuck out.

    Europe is imploding.

Interesting. Theoretically, I don't see why this wouldn't work as long as everyone bought into it.

    Europe is imploding.

:D Now THAT is a laughable comment!

    Kudos to MMs

 Yikes, my head is spinning. I'm no longer able to follow along here, but I wish you good luck nonetheless.

I exited all of my long USD/JPY position last night as well. Moving on to something else for now. That was the windfall I've been hoping for with these long USD/JPY pot shots for the past couple of weeks. I was beginning to feel some heat until BOJ bailed me out. It will be very interesting...

'50% of All Workers Made Less than $26,000 in 2010'

Perhaps you are not fully aware of the history of communism? Hint: It has utterly failed everywhere it has been tried. Yet capitalism lives on...I wonder why?

Is the bookstore dead, or is AMZN just evil?

I agree regarding the Kindle. I just can't get into reading a book on a computer screen.

Is the bookstore dead, or is AMZN just evil?

In Canada I have had nothing but great experience with Amazon shipping. I've only bought books from them, but they've always arrived ahead of the scheduled time. Up to seven days, and sometimes the package arrives in two.

Is the bookstore dead, or is AMZN just evil?

Why is that? Why not just go to the bookstore, browse around, pick what you want, then order from Amazon at a substantial discount?

Is the bookstore dead, or is AMZN just evil?

In my experience, I can buy a book from Amazon at least 25% cheaper than a bookstore. They also offer free shipping and the package usually arrives within 2-3 days. I have no clue why anyone goes to bookstores anymore, except to read the material for free in the store I suppose.

    100-year-old man completes Toronto marathon

Heard this on the radio this morning. He beat his own expectations of doing it in 9 hours. Remarkable.

I agree. Being long on a retrace at the "floor" just affords you the opportunity to be on the right side IF the BOJ was to act, which we all know is a reasonable possibility given past experience. I would not advocate buy and hold simply on the hopes of BOJ intervention alone, because as you...

Ya it's on DJ. Goes to show how eager people are to sell JPY.

Indeed. Whether they do or not doesn't even matter to me right now, I am profiting off of rumors alone. Sell the spikes, buy back on the retrace. Eventually BOJ will actually do something and that's where the real profit will be.

We are the 1%; We stand with the 99%

Bingo. Let's take money away from the rich and give to the government? Taking money away from anyone and giving it to the government is a BAD idea.

Best to lock-in some profits on this spike. Will leave a small position on both of these pairs in case the run continues, but I'm going to take a large majority off the table, especially the AUD/JPY long.
