Maybe i am a little naive, but why would anyone ever use a mkt order of the emini? Why not just use a limit order maybe a point above the mkt price and you will be filled at the best price regardless of mkt conditions. Once you start using mkt orders, you have to deal with possible glitches like...

yes it is normal... They are buying on the news. Yes there is some short covering.. but for the most part, they are daytraders trying to make a very impressive return. When was the last time CSCO or MSFT moved that much? Its gambling.. its exciting.. and it doesn't always make a lot of sense.

Its amazing to see how much the volume for the Q's slowed down for the last 10 minutes. I don't know if its directly related, but assuming there is a dead data feed from the cme.
