Anybody know who is responsible for spiking the futures in either direction at 350pm eastern? It been happening everyday for weeks now.

If you have a 1256 futures loss, can you deduct a portion of that against long term gains (that are not futures related)?

I would figure on a trading forum, people would be a bit more skeptical. I guess not. That being said, it's most prob bs. No specifics at all... Who is his clearing firm? What is his strategy? You can go back and specifically match his trades up if he showed any form of documentation.

Does anyone know how often they evaluate the margin requirements for the ES? Seems like a no-brainer they should lower margins considering the volatility is this low.

It seems to me a lot of traders were net short before the halt... (I would have been if I was trading during that time..) deadly if they chose to wait to break even..

Ditto... Feel this is more of a buy dollar, sell metals rotation that is only in the top of the fourth inning.

Considering there is about 4000-5000 contracts traded every minute, that must mean there is a sizeable amount of size which is hidden from the public view (aka icebergs) 11k... ESP away from the inside market, is pointless. It could just mean the trader chose not to use an iceberg, whether...

Tunnel was my first NYC club.. enormous space. amazing times, always fun. Never been to Club USA though. I missed out on limelight and palladium as well. Although it's always shocking to me that limelight is a shopping mall now :eek:

Not sure how this is a best of list without the number one club in the city for some time... Avenue. Wass Stevens runs the door. He is basically a legend in the city for his door policy and there are articles written about him Lavo, Boom Boom Room, and Le Bain are always always packed are...

Agreed.. but have had a few vaio Z's without issues. The latest z (just in my opinion) is the best lap on the market for trading purposes. Power, reliability, size, weight, battery life, the ability to support multiple monitors, etc, etc , etc.... But you will pay for it. Double the price of...

Sony Vaio Z/svz has everything you want... and is extremely solid. But rumor is they are discontinuing model because sony wants to move towards touchscreens with windows 8. And the price is normally at least double of any normal laptop. However, I would suggest hitting up the sony outlet...
