Steve, Thanks for your comments. I agree that the commission rate is competitive. I'm just trying to help IB forex be more competitive. :D Something like 50-100 million monthly volume should get you down to .12 or .15 on additional amounts IMO. Thanks for your consideration. Also...

Thank you for your explanation. I am very happy with the refresh speed of the feed and in particular with how up-to-date (my first priority) the feed stays even during fast market moves. Please keep it this way IB.

News provides the "when" answer. The "why" answer doesn't really matter except to "journalists" who make up news after the fact to justify a move. As you state the "what" answer is the wildcard - whichever direction the money flows at the news time - price will follow. I'm sure some big firms...

Steve, I am perplexed by your example. It only makes sense if you are talking about a buy stop at 1.2356, which when executed will buy at the prevailing ask price. Maybe my mind is numb but could you either set me straight or straighten out the example? Also, is there no way in IdealPro to...

No quotes. Logged in but no better off than you. Yellow (really orange) "market data" box in lower right corner of TWS (next to time) is what Old Trader was talking about. I also love how the bulletins alway say "some users" when describing an outage. Ever thought about who is not included in...

But on the bright side the bulletins seem to be functioning perfectly. Maybe they can include quotes in the next one.

It means one or more of your data connections are down. From the menus pull up VIEW / Market Data Connection to see which one(s).

Ok IB it is 1:00 AM, 30 minutes past when things should be available and login is slow and no market data when you finally get logged in - despite the glib "all systems are operating normally" posted on the bulletin page.

The feature I would like is to have charting and backfill removed from TWS. Let's get back to lean and mean. When features are interfering with trading / logging into the TWS, priorities are screwed up. IB management, right the ship ASAP!

Please continue to inconvenience us by keeping the charting data off for good.
