I guess that depends on your definition of easy. :p Not to pick on you, but this is a case in point as to why I don't post market calls. Anything and everything can, and sometimes does happen. And in the end nobody really knows squat about the future.

Can anyone list or point me to a list of who the active market makers are on the EURO futures at the CME? Also, is there any information available with regards to volume done by these market makers?

Thank you Interactive Brokers for providing a consistent 1-2 pip spread on IdealPro for EUR/USD. This is a really fantastic market offering right now! I also like the realtime execution reports that are available on the account management login on the IB website.

One final thought. My systems did not become profitable until after I had become profitable as a discretionary / semi-mechanical trader, so in the end the advice to just trade and develop your own strategies may be the best advice. To get to 36 do what I did: create an ATS platform, write your systems and let them trade for you. At least then you'll be in the 31 to 36 loop like me.

I don't really know. I don't think it was the account size or trade size as acct at its max was only about 10K. Profitability and high frequency probably.

Fair question. I trade on Globex and several spot outlets for diversification and because at times you will get a better deal on one over the other. Globex isn't always the best deal, and sometimes Globex / various brokers go down. And at the time I opened the account I guess I just didn't know...
