Great traders don't sit around talking about "calls", only kids who think they are. Just look at the candles for the past days and read them like real traders do.

I cant figure out who screams more Cramer or Chris Matthews. Enjoy them but can't figure out why they find it necessary to scream at each other and interrrupt constantly.

Level 2 and any market guage can be deceptive IMHO in that if I want to do size in a stock, the platform I use allows me to hide what I'm doing. For example, I want to buy or sell 5000 shares, my platform allows me to simply refresh my bid or offer until I am done. Level 2 never sees it, but...

Is there any benefit in watching this? Bids and offers come and go, size disappears. I'm beginning to think time and sales all one needs. Would appreciate any views other might have on this.

I use realtick and esignal, realtick comes with trading outfit I use, and find esignal better of the two when things are active.

You might want to take a look at Daytrading University, worked for me. Trades the open of the day generally, good instruction, reasonable. Before you ask, I have absolutely no affiliation with it and learned enough to do it myself now.

Interesting to me that program trading is such a high % of daily volume. Its amusing to hear market commentators speak about investors on a daily basis when I imagine their daily activity is probably an infinitesimal % of daily activity. Curious to know what makes up other portion of daily...

Having done this for 35 years, I can assure I have heard and seen periods like this many times. They usually change when many start to say this will never change. Hang in there, adapt and all will be fine.

Appreciate the comments, sounds like no significant preference for one or other. I use EMA, 10, 20, 40, along with volume and ADX as sole criteria. If there is a trend, I trade it, if not, forget it. Have had great success with that of late. Most important is still a feel for market which comes...
