I can't even use IB's much touted and beloved "SMART" routing due to the new hot key price changes. However, trades sent directly to NYSE sill work with .01 increments so, for my trading (listed only) the change isn't as critical as for your Naz traders... Sure wish they would fix...

Has anyone ever watched the spoo's tick chart during a presidential speech. I could swear that there was a major correlation between the chart and what the prez was saying...and I'm not talking about a big lag time either...just a matter of under 30 secs or so.

fwiw, did anyone notice that as Geo Bush spoke about the economy and corporate "corruption" this morning, the Dow lost big points and continued to accelerate downward? In the time it took to write this, the Dow dropped about 45 pts. Jim

This happened to me...once :eek: My local bank had no "appreciation" for IB's deposit procedure. After that I always make sure that the info that IB requires is there, exactly the way they want it...they're very specific. Jim

I had starband and pretty much agree with the previous posts....ping times > 600ms are common. Heavy clouds, rain and snow can knock you off line from time to time so be ready for that. It would be fine for swing trading but if your style is of a time sensitive nature, you'll be better served...
