    The breakout of 33.50 from the 8th gave gave us a nice move to the lower 70's. Shorts above 53 got stopped out once and had to get short again higher. We should hit that target of 1300 or so today and move even lower. I was looking for 100pts from above 1353 so that puts us at 1253, from...

    Locating Data

    Get you hands on a point-in-time database. These include Compustat, Factset, ThomsonOne, Reuters, Bloomberg and I believe kx systems also has a historical database. These are expensive. A cheaper solution is www.portfolio123.com, but they only go back to year 2000 or so.

    I agree, any experience with real time signal processing will suffice. Look for c/c++ or java experience. Lots of MS "GUI" developers out there who haven't a clue.
