    Why actively trade ETFs?

If no prop firms, what are some of the better retail firms for trading the futures and what type of commish and capital contribution do they require? I assume payout is 100% since its your money.

    NYSE "Open Book" helpful.

It's better than nothing...but not by much. Like the good old days, many of the sizes are either fake or disappear when it really gets there. But it's better than nothing. I sometimes use the open book to place my stops...hoping that the size is real and, perhaps, I will be able to get out...

    Scalping

BillyG...there is a reason why it is more advantageous to have a "per share" commish structure. If you are long 2000 shares of something, many times you are going to close that position in increments - not all at once. So if you buy 1000 shares twice, and then sell them 4 times at 500 shares...

    Scalping

I dont know about all that...all Im looking for is some help with those scalping setups. Seems nobody wants to share. I'll share another one: A strong stock, big offer comes in....the size steps down a couple ticks...and then it gets lifted. If you can get in when the offer gest lifted, it...

    Scalping

Forget the numbers....can anyone give us some ideas of good scalping setups?? I'll start with this one: On listed, the specialist spreads the stock way up or way down in the middle of the day (could be news or just a buyer/seller coming in). Then you either buy it or short it. Take your...

Prop Groups are PHONIES and full of BS

Wait a minute....There are firms out there that charges 1/10 (0.001) of a penny per share? And did I read that right about ZONE? 1/20th of a penny (0.0005) per share????? I have never heard of such rates anywhere. That would add practically $500G to my account per year!! Are these people...

Prop Groups are PHONIES and full of BS

All the points made about pro(p) vs retail are true. The main reason I stay with prop is that (1) I would never put my own money at risk if I didnt have to. Why would you if you didnt have to? This is not to say Im not confident about my trading capabilities. Ive been trading for living for 3...

    Scalping

That's why I said the scalping trades has to have above average possibility of being a winner. If they possibility of being a positive trade is 80% @ 12 cent profit, and there is 20% losers @ 25 cents, and you do 20 setups in a day, that adds up to: 16 x .12 = 1.92 x 1000 = $1,920 4 x .27...

    Scalping

Just do the math. If you pay penny a share, that's 2 cetns per roundtrip. If you make dime per trade + 2 cetns = 12 cents. On 1000 sahres, that's $100. Wait patirently all day nad make 5 - 10 trades, they add up to $500 - $1000 per day. Not a bad living. There is a caveat: for scalping...

    Scalping

What are people's thoughts on the best ways to take a few cetns out of the market per position..? I made good money today doing just that: making 10 - 25 cents per position and repeating all day long. The method I used was "range/channel" trading. I noticed that OMC was trading back and forth...

    Baffled

Why worry or question the trend...unless you area long term investor or swing trader. Even if you were any of the two, you still put in your stop-loss and trade. For daytraders, who cares what the trend is? Take what the market gives you and you have money making opportunities every single...

    Managing multiple positions

Exiting bunch of positions at once is not really a problem for me since my execution allows me to cover all or one or anything in-between with press of a couple of buttons. Let me get a bit more specific about what Im looking for: 1) How do you pick the stocks you will trade that morning...
