I'm not a Forex Trader, I trade Futures. I have an account with AMP (USA) but I know they did launch in Europe (AMP Global EU) where you can trade Forex and Futures if you want. I imagine because they are well established and the solid regulation as a global group, that will make them a good fit...

MT5 for me, I like the versatility

I too am grandfathered in with Ninjatrader but I'm currently checking out the new platform and liking it so far... and for those who like profile charts this has it!

I have been with AMP for over a decade and for all those years never had any problems. There's something to be said for that... and they deserve to be considered.

If you're outside the U.S and trading Forex and want to dabble in futures and micros and it makes good sense to use MT5 but if you're only doing futures AMP has a slew of good trading platforms.

For sure... all I know is that getting stopped out is a realized loss and no one wants to get stopped out. I like to use hard stops strategically placed ie below support if long, if it lines up with my capital risk otherwise I end up trailing or move to BE.

The buyer holds the right to exercise and you will get assigned and have the stock put to you especially if in the money and auto exercised. This takes a couple of days I think...

Another way to put it, with a margin account you only need to pay for half the position but you have to use your cash first and then broker loans you the other half... and it has to be marginable stock. Not all stocks are marginable.
