    A Future of Stock Trading

One of several instruments you are looking for is probably the e-minis. They have most if not all the characteristics that you are looking for in an instrument to trade.

Have you always traded futures? I've been trading equities for a while, thinking about trading futures. Seems futures trend more than equities, thus can reduce risk dramatically. Lately have been a contrarian with equities.

    Impatience

Liquidity issue is not the problem at all, it's just holding size, I need to get used to doing it to continue to make money. Enough money to live on!

    Impatience

If I trade 500 shares at a time and get into position several times, I trade very well. When I trade 5k positions and get in several times, than I feel terrified. Unfortunatelly stocks move 10 - 20 cents so you need to trade 5k+ to make any decent money, 1000 shares doesn't cut it anymore!

    Impatience

I think it's combination of both fear and impatience, wanting to lock in a profit due to big size I have on. I have closed down my p&l window so the actual numbers do not bother me. Fear I would say is a bigger impact.

    Impatience

I have the exact same problem. I have decent entry points, but I exit my position 10 - 20 cents early. This has been happening for several months. Started trading size and can not help myself. Patience is so important, but can not help myself. Any ideas, would love to hear them.

    Stock filters on the Internet

Hey Guys! Please help! I'm looking for internet website that have filtering capabilities. I need it to be a bit more complex than 52 week hi/lo and % gainers/losers. I would really appreciate if someone would post a link. I do not need anything as complex as first alert filters can get...

20% per year with as little risk/work as possible?

Invest in real estate. It's not liquid, but you get steady price growth. Also could buy reit mutual funds. 15% - 20% very achievable return in commercial or residential real estate.

    Emini trading!

Hi All! I've been trading NYSE pretty succesfully, but have noticed on days like today, that stocks I trade do not move nearly as much as SP Futures tanked. I was wondering how difficult is it to combine equities and futures trading. Also what futures broker would you guys recommend, from...

    Tell about your education

You can just use "Prt Scr" button to save your desktop and then paste it into Word or other documents. You can save windows individually, by pressing ALT - Prt Scr, this will save the active window, also paste it anywhere.

Compensation for traders at top firms?

Nitro! Why do you worry about what other people are doing? Just concentrate on doing well yourself. I have a comfort zone that I trade at, and I do increase positions when I feel like it. Everyone trades very differently! Can't worry about how they all trade!

Compensation for traders at top firms?

Nitro! I trade equities with a prop firm. I'm very risk averse, trade between 300 - 1000 shares a trade now. Before traded 500 - 2000 shares, when we had more volatility, liquidity. Obviosuly intraday I have a lot of leverage and I never calculated how much risk per trade I take on. When...
