Where did the "90% are losers myth come from?

Well, you might as well begin your education right here. There is as much difference between "trading" and "investing" as between day and night. There's so many clueless 'investors' who call themselves 'traders' because it's a fashionable term, promoted by the media, who would run for...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I never plagiarize. - You don't know that? But it seems at least the 'master' agrees with ol' Tommy: "The 'refined,' the 'rich,' the professional 'do-nothing,' the distiller of quintessence desire only the peculiar and sensational, the eccentric, the scandalous in today's art. And I...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

    1. How easily the masses can be conned when a 'total load of rubbish' is promoted as "fashionable". (Not unlike 'piercings' today.) 2. Self-loathing of the artist and his hatred of the above-mentioned "Fashionables". (His clients.) 3. Just one more little nail in the coffin of Western...

Warning: Don't trust IB's TWS Portfolio page or Trades Report for positions

Never, EVER, close TWS, I don't care WHAT version you're on- without first checking the 'Position' column under 'Portfolio' at the 'Account' page. ('View' - 'Account'.) Make sure to display 'Position' under 'Configure'. This problem then becomes a non-issue, I promise you.

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Right! They got an old saying, "A word to the wise is sufficient." Who cares what the 'correct' breakdown of the word "control" is, when it's enough just to be reminded of the value of Control?! There is a lot that's "obvious" to the *consistently profitable* - which may benefit from some...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

Hope you guys don't mind if I jump in here... As far as "correctly" improving one's W/L ratio, I have no clue. But *careful trade selection* works for me. To borrow an expositional strategy from Mr. Nyse, I AVERT losses by being aware of the: Averages Volume Extremes Range & Trend...

Couldn't crack the password? COULDN'T CRACK THE PASSWORD!?! I cracked it the first time like it wasn't even there. I guess, like my old dad used to say, "Some folks use that thing between their ears for nothing but a hat-rack."
