Let me qualify this: On large selloffs like today, I buy the ES at the close, as near to the low asi I can. If it goes lower I know they do not have clearance to take it much lower, so I add a few more. Then I wait... Typically, as I have found...at 3am EST when the Euro markets...

With the exception of last night, yes. I have demonstrated this on several occasions. Look at the 15min charts. At 3am EST it spikes, and then sells off... I still have stops in place, and sells too...I have netted nicely from this theory. It takes getting up at 2:45...

Forgive me for asking, What do you define as "mean"... "I like it much better-- It allows for more relaxation and other life quality. It does generally require a larger stop in my view or no stop if played conservatively enough. One thing about ES--It almost always returns to the mean."...

I am Long ES 1260 medium size after hours... Been playing closing entry at lowest point, and selling with a wake up call at 2:45 am EST. To answer B1S2 question, I exit when the Euro markets open, as they usually spike the ES. It has been working so far, no reason to change...

No offense intended, but I think you will be dearly departed with your cash very soon. Need I say you were long OIL and then traded currencies. Let me say this. When I started, I was very much like you. I quickly lost $5,000. I started with good intentions, buying solid stocks, etc...

I am a short term trader, yes. One to four hours....+/~ Since I have started trading the ES, I have found that the evening hours more predictable. My trade was based on the uptick prior to close, and my "feel" of where the market was headed. I can hear the "cringes" from other...

Buy1Sell2 Do you monitor the after regular hours trades, and if so do you have a particular target in mind on these shorts? I feel we have clearance to the 1292.50 area even as soon as this evening. Your thoughts are appreciated. By the way, EXCELLENT thread here, Kudos to you...
