Good prop firms in San Francisco bay area

Screw prop trading. Just open a retail and futures account. Prop trading takes a percentage of profits and charges a desk fee. They will not teach you how to trade either. They will make you pay for high priced, basic knowledge. If you want to learn to trade, just read through the ET forums...

    Short the dollar hard

Haha, could be. I don't personally believe in politics. My belief is that the US government is at hostage by the military industrial complex, and the massive multinational banks and corporations. Those entities dictate US policy. So any rhetoric by a talking head in public office to me is...

    EUR/USD News Trading Confusion

My advice, don't trade the news. You need to read up on macroeconomics and get a feel for how interest rates, and central bank policy effects a currency. I've been short the dollar index for a week and a half. The spike in EUR/USD was expected. The EUR/USD moves in a close correlation to the us...

New to futures, need a broker.

RJ O'brien is pretty good. They are at the average as far as commission rates. But the data seemed stable. There were a few outages last year, but that was resolved a while back. Things have been stable for a long while.

Roughly every third home in her neighborhood is vacant.

Roughly every third home in her neighborhood is vacant.

This whole housing collapse is a failed experiment by government wanting to help minority's get into homes. We can't keep going down this road. I love how no one in the US government will own up to this, but they are the cause, not the banks. The banks were just doing what they were told...

Who is considered best teacher to

Yeah, do not buy options eduction, it's way overpriced. You can just buy a few books for under 100 bucks and learn. Do not take those thousand dollar options courses. They prey on ignorance. Options are not that difficult. Typically the more difficult the strategy, the less profitability it has...

    EUR/USD News Trading Confusion

Because the dollar has had it. It couldn't even get above 90 in a worldwide recession. There is just no strength in the dollar anymore. No one wants it.

    Rise of the BULLS....

These guys are all pumping their own books. They are hoping for a new bull rally. But who's going to buy here? Retail traders are dead. The only ones pumping this right now are the investment banks and long hedge funds. I love when they come out and upgrade their forecasts at the top of a range.

    Short the dollar hard

I covered half today, it just seemed a bit much. I took it off at 83.90. I'll let the rest run. The inflation is getting a little overheated here. I think the fed might take their foot off the pedal a bit in the next couple days.

The nation’s debt clock is ticking faster than ever & Wall Street is getting worried

Or just trade the hell out of the dollar bear market. There are so many trades you can put on in a falling dollar environment. Inflation is great for speculators. You get huge bubbles to capitalize on. With a little leverage, you can offset inflation with your gains.

[Help] Tape reading and other techniques

To me, tape reading is looking at different sector indices of the economy. You can find divergences within these sectors where things are overbought or oversold. Then you drill down to single stocks within different sectors. You look at the relationship between the leaders and the laggards in...

    EUR/USD: Down Leg (May 3, 2009) 9:13PM

You could fade 1.3336 area heavy for maybe a retrace to 1.33/1.32.50 in the thin overnight trading. But I wouldn't stick to this one too long. If you get pressed to 1.3350, stop out.

The nation’s debt clock is ticking faster than ever & Wall Street is getting worried

Inflation is going to be so bad in a year or two, people will forget about the housing collapse. Get ready for 1,000,000 for a 2,500 sqft house. The 100 dollar bill will become the value of the 10. Movie rentals, 45.00. Gas prices, 25.00 per gallon instead of 2.50. Maybe they will just do a...
