    Outsourcing: a good thing

We refuse to take low paying jobs while enjoying the dirt cheap toys that we buy from Costco and Walmart and complaining that jobs are lost to oversea's workers? You cant have your cake and eat it too. Either you work just as hard as a Chinese worker with no health care/retirement benefits...

Qcharts and futures in the time of big changes

The one thing that qchart got that esignal doesnt have is the hot lists. Esignal claimed that they have the scan that is similar to the hotlist. There is no comparison when it's time to trade. If u know what to look for, all your setups are from that list. Most people dont know where to look...

    I love this volatility!

Not quite like 1999-2000 but it's good enough. It's great when everybody is making big bucks :-) Now go out and spend some of that money to get the economy going so we can have more days like today.

Use laptop monitor as an extra monitor?

I was thinking of buying another 17" lcd to have a 4 monitors setup. But is it possible to get a laptop and set it up as the 4th monitor and also have an extra laptop on hand for travel? The laptop I plan to get is the HP 5400 series with dual monitor support. thanks in advance for the...

    3:1

Harry123, Base on your spread sheet, starting tomorrow, I will do 1 es contract with a 2pts stops and 6pts gain. I think a 1 pt stop will get me stop out too many times. Will let u know the outcome in a week. If I get a 2pts gain, then the stop would be even and will trail the stop up...

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Marc, I got $100K (all the cash I have) to say u are bluffing 15 thousand plus members here on ET. I know $500 bucks is pocket change for u so how about that $100K? Since we are talking about all the cash I have, I'll give u a 1 to 1 odds. No 22 yr old kid could ever snow me yet and I dont...

How much do you REALLY make trading?

Marc, I got a check for $500 bucks in your name if u fax me your last 2 months statement. If it's not showing 15k per week profit, send me a check for $250. 2 to 1 odd, I will take that anyday. $500 bucks for dinner for 5 mins worth of work faxing. Not bad isn't it ? If u want to do...

    Daytrading drawbacks

This is what I am working on: Always keep an eye out for stocks that I want to invest in and as these stocks/ the market get cheap enough (where u see blood on the street) buy these and keep them longer term. This will only happend 3/4 times per yr. The rest of the time just daytrades...

    this market

None of the guys that make money would reveal what they do in stocks/futures for obvious reasons. I do 300-400 shares lot on 1-2 mil volume stocks and sometimes I still have to chase after them to get my fill. So I cant say what I do because it's so easy to duplicate and I would have to...

    Todd Harrison is writing again

One thing I notice on the day that Todd is 50% bear, Crammer is also recommending a sell to raise some cash. I think that was yesterday. Maybe Crammer is piggy back on to Todd's comments since he cant call his own trades with any accuracy anymore :-) I kind of feel sorry for Crammer if that...

    Dangerous Times Ahead

The war will be a non event just like in 91. Everybody is worried to death and we came in and clean them out in 4 weeks. The news people have to make everything as a worst case situation to sell news. When 9/11 happended, some stations estimated that 50K people die. What a bunch of idiots...

Are you guys prepared for this bear market +5 years?

hitting singles are still better than a real job. I could not think of a better job than this. So bear or no bear, life is still too good to be true with daytrading. There will always be a new breed of traders come in to the market and think he can make it big even in a bear market. So there...

    Is news necessary to trading?

Briefing.com is all I need for the past 10 yrs. Wait til everybody knows about the news, see how they react to it and sometimes I go along if I am early enough or fade it if I am late. But I think the trick is to make sure traders get shaken out of stops before u fade the fade.

    Throwing in the towel

" Casinos are not afraid of systems, even card counting systems, because, after the initial panic, they have learned over the years that the supposed benefits of card counting turned out to be a paper tiger. This is illustrated in the growing number of casinos that advertise "Single Deck 21" to...

    Todd Harrison is writing again

That why I said earlier is that u find a way to include his calls into your risk profiles and go from there. If he's at 25 % bear and u are 100% bear and comfortable with it then that's your style. But where do u find the money to add to your position when he's at 75% bear level? Any traders...

    2.25.03...

I have been sticking to my bread and butter plays and that seems to work fine. If I go out of these plays, I lose more often that not. So for me knowing what works and have the discipline to stay with it is the key. So what if the day is stuck in a range, there are stuff that still go down...
