Inks2002: Not really sure what happened with the USDCAD, I am sure there will be more opportunities in the future with that pair (and the others). For me, thinking about *why* pairs behave the way that they do is as fun as listening to some blowhard on TV wax on about the quarterly outlook...

This GBPUSD short trade is now closed, it may be on the way up for a while, so I will take the 140 pips and run.

This came back after being up 100 pips and stopped me out for +!0 pips. I don't mind these trades actually, because by waiting I will get the big gains once in a while and that will increase the average win. Just didn't happen this time.

This has fallen over 200 pips from the entry price, so to reduce my risk I have moved the stoploss to break even.

This has run over 120 pips in the expected direction, so my stop is now at break even to reduce the risk.

long from 1.1525 stop at 1.1434 1st target 1.1800 2nd target open

Likely to BUY the GBP/CHF pair sometime during the European session, in case anyone is interested........

Austrijec Thanks for the post. I agree that the drawdowns can be severe. However, I rarely have a drawdown of significance because my win ration is so high and I do not risk a lot per trade. With an 80% win ratio it is difficult (but not impossible) to get 5 losing trades in a row...

I haven't read a trading book in a long while, but if he (Coinz) wrote a book, I would definitely buy it. He was too funny to pass up on.

I can see where people might say that, but the entertainment value was so high. He kept getting banned and then ET kept letting him back in, it was so funny. He was a true lightning rod, and I thought that he would still be around in one form or another, but maybe not.

Years ago (I think 2004) I used to frequent ET and one of the main reasons why was because of Coinz. He was a lightning rod of a personality, refused to use stops and really seemed to bring out the very worst in others...... he was repeatedly banned by Baron, etc, but I thought he was funny...

OK, the big fat bearish 1hr candle has scared me into thinking that it may be best to exit the remaining lots...

Cool! 1/2 the USDCAD position cashed out at 1.1100 (while I was mid-flight :p ), now I will see how patient I can be with the rest and hopefully get to 1.1300 or so, that would be great. There are so many cool setups today, but I think that I will wait for some retracements before jumping...

This USDCAD trade is 100 pips + in the money. Have moved the stop to breakeven and will hope to cash out 1/2 the position at 1.1100

This went over 20 pips rather quickly in the expected direction (down), and then it reversed rather quickly so I exited at 1.0685 for a -13 pip loss. This is going up, like the USDCAD is going up tonight, I think.

Stop at 1.0709 Sold at 1.0662 Take profit at 1.0605 2nd profit lower, maybe 1.0570 or lower....

May have double bottomed here, this could end up going up for a few days now, who knows...... this is why I stick the stop under the nearest low, in case of a double bottom.

Stop is below the daily low at 1.0780 - I had the wrong stop on the previous post
