Long Iron Butterfly, Long Iron Condor, Wrangles and their Synthetics: Risk, Reward, G

I've never traded a wrangle. So there are others better equipped to discuss them. However, you'd generally choose a wrangle over a straight front month wingspread in order to get some gamma. But it seems to me there are less complicated ways to achieve that. With regard to choosing between a...

Long Iron Butterfly, Long Iron Condor, Wrangles and their Synthetics: Risk, Reward, G

Well then, I'll have to modify my initial comment since I'm a big fan of praise, provided it's heaped on me. Okay, first response. While the terminology can be confusing, I tend to prefer Natenberg's classifications. Accordingly, a long iron condor and long iron butterfly are equivalent but...

Long Iron Butterfly, Long Iron Condor, Wrangles and their Synthetics: Risk, Reward, G

I had intended to share what I know about wingspreads. However, the sycophancy on this thread is rather sickening. Hence, I'll pass.

    Start-Up Hedge Fund Question

Interesting logic. So by extension, the fact that there are many multiples of that number who are trading individually via prop or otherwise, implies that your trading edge is negative. Can I short you?

    The Perfect Option position

Hey Charles, welcome. Listen, I'm suffering from a major case of "coulda, woulda, shoulda." Thus, I'd appreciate it if you could advise me on how to repair a large OEX short call position that expired this past January 20 points ITM. Thanks in advance.

    KG is the man

I agree with much of the above except your prediction of Kobe signing with the Paper Clips. There's really no advantage for him in staying in L.A. After all, he's already molested most of the women there. New Orleans, which has only had a franchise for a year and consequently lots of fresh meat...

IE goes blank "Invalid syntax error"

It's messed up my Esig too. But AOL IM works. I really want to avoid a drastic fix, but am starting to think one might be necessary. That or getting a tech guy in here. Hey Aphie, do you make house calls to Connecticut?

    Fundamental Investing...

Value Line's database product is a good starting point for quantitative research. I use a lot of their data in the DCF models I run. However, their qualitative analysis is, imo, less useful.

Just absolutely beautiful. Sip some vino while trading from a balcony at the Hotel Sirenuse atop an incredibly picturesque hillside overlooking an azure sea, and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks. That's good to know. After all, as I always say, in choosing a place to live, it all boils down to who has the most bridges and consulates.
