Market opens at yesterday's close, at yesterday's VPOC, within yesterday's major balance area -- sentiment was long overnight, but news at 8:30 conflicted. So, given the balanced opening, the market may bounce around 65 to 69 until CC at 10am. It may need to wait for more information.

The market doesn't usually care about that report (maybe unless it's waaaay off expectations). Consumer confidence at 10am is all for the rest of the day. Market has digested news it cares about until the open.

I don't usually watch it, but the Dow 13K is drawing attention, and I noticed that in the last 5 minutes before the close it sold off just below it, it couldn't close above. Just a note for anyone who might find it interesting but like me, didn't follow it today.
