He is a question to those following this thread... Is everything you need to know to make decisions contained in the chart? So accumulation and distribution move the market rather than fundamentals and news. What are your thoughts?

There will also be a ton of emotions if you take your profit at 2 points and then thing moves a full 8 points in your direction after you get out. I guess this is where scaling out comes in, or at least a trailing stop.

My reading of the 30 minute chart is that you dont want to still be long if it goes below 74.50 even though 72 off the weekly would likely be support this time around but why not lock in profits and re-enter at a better price if we do get that 72 support. On the monthly id say there is room on...

That is my problem right there. I can make profitable trades for days until I get married to a stupid loser and give everything back on 1 trade. Take your loses while they are small as the bigger they get the harder it is to actually take them..... Which leads to disaster. I wish you good luck...

I agree but that is where the chart reading "skill" or experience comes in... To understand how to draw the boxes and what they actually represent. I think you have to lose money to understand what those boxes are ...

You can take the info presented here and see if it applies to the markets you trade yourself. I guess it takes time to understand all the riddles and puzzles but that is half the fun in my opinion.

The reactions that happen at those reference points happen very fast and in the time that he would go on ET and type out the message he can miss the chance to book profits or reverse. I may be totally off but this is what I am starting to see and understand after scratching my head and thinking...

If I understand what he is talking about correctly, taking the time to type out the calls and not pay attention to the charts will cost you.
