I expect some resistance at 2780ish, Lets see what happens in the next few days. This was the level that broke on March 13th and started the last big sell off.

    buying the highs

There is also a psychological issue with trying to buy bottoms because if you decided that price was cheap and on sale when you attempted to nail the bottom, but instead of going up it now goes down a bit more... this naturally feels like it is an even better bargain then it was before. This...

Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson, one of the best debates of all time.

I read Peterson's new book and although he says a lot of important things, I don't think his messages are good for entrepreneurs or people who are going against the grain and trying to do things on their own, rather then relying on the old structures that are set in place for us by society and...

    buying the highs

The way I see it is that if price in a stock has been a range for a long time. A year or more and all of the sudden we have a break out to the top to new never before seen highs. Maybe even a gap out of the range, then there should be some sort of information that those in the power to move...

    ES Journal - 2017/2018

The way I see it. 2680 was the resistance level to pass since March 27th. We broke out on May 9th and yesterday we came back to it and now gained 2680 as the new support. I think we rally from here if technicals mean anything.

Best way to bet against Vancouver Canada real estate bubble?

I worked for an A lender and have delt with thousands of clients all over Canada over a 6 year period. I am just giving my observation. Most house holds were heavily weighed in Real estate with minimal to no other financial assets. Sure occasionally id see a deal where a person had little debt...

Best way to bet against Vancouver Canada real estate bubble?

Your timing better be on point if you are gonna short Canadian Banks. Otherwise you will be paying out the close to 5% dividends out to who ever your borrowed the stock from. I used to work as a mortgage adviser until late 2016 and saw the personal financial picture of thousands of individual...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

What I was doing before is looking at longer inter day Time charts and CVB charts for shorter time frames and looking for shifts in momentum on shorter time frames (head and shoulders, inverse head and shoulders, DT, DB) as we approached important price Zones (Accumulation / Distribution)...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

Since making this thread, I have decided to close up my futures trading account and re-evaluate everything. It really felt like I was in a gambling state, rather then a trader mindset so I put a stop to it before I do more damage to my self and my capital. I need to shift my focus to capital...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

Yes basically when I refuse to take my stop out it goes from trading to gambling. I was never into gambling at all, in fact I really dont enjoy gambling card games or betting in general. I am trying to figure out how to get my gead right to function like a trader rather than a gambler. I am...

How to overcome the inability to accept small losses when wrong on trades?

I am having a very hard time with this psychological aspect of trading. I trade a discretionary chart reading method based on momentum reading and accumulation / distribution chart patterns. Been studying the method / charts for close to 10 months now and there is definitely an edge there in my...

Why does Volume matter? Isn't non-involvement from institutional buyers itself a signal?

I think those volume spikes at reversal candles are someone defending a certain price level from getting penetrated. That's how I see it at least.
