    HSI, FDAX abd FESX

To the best of my knowledge the above index futures, the Hang Seng, DAX and Euro STOXX 50 do not publish the TICKI or TICK. Do you think these indicators maybe useful for these contracts?

    Backtesting vs. Realtime results

Are your trades manually keyed in or system generated? It sounds like they are manually keyed in. But if it was automated what kind of orders are they?

Is trading Gambling or not .."What say You" Vote here.

What one be correct to say that in gambling the structure and odds don't change? In trading systems, the situation is in greater flux. Has anyone experienced a system that used to work go belly up? The market seemed to change and the system does not work anymore. It may even work again one...

    TS2000i vs TS8

In the sense that most people lose money anyway  Sounds like you have been a long time user of Omega Research products. I actually have my System Writer Plus dongle in front of me. This was the grand daddy of EasyLanguage and ran under DOS using 64K. They integrated this with...

Anybody use "Value Line Investment Survey"?

ValueLine ranks have not done very well in recent years. I still use the service for fundamentals and screening. Zacks seems to be doing better. I actually screen the IBD100 group according to my own swing scanning criteria. In bullish phases the group is always very "perky" and you can go...

    TS2000i vs TS8

TS 2000i is actually version 5. Tradestation Securities is no longer fixing any TS 5 bugs. Nor can they properly support it because they focus on their current operations. In that sense it is obsolete. It is still used because it serves international markets well.

    TS2000i vs TS8

Sounds like a excellent reason for using 2000i. Imagine paying for 7 TS accounts.

Would you share a trading idea?

Boy, with world commodities making new highs the turtle trading CTAs must be having a bumper year (or two). But, you need a lot of money to buy a basket of commodities like the turtles and then the kahunas to take pretty decent drawdowns.

Yes there was such a book. I collected it chapter by chapter for months. Can't remember where it is or the name though.

Great system time tested but I need CODING help!!

Sounds like quite a conundrum. It maybe best to get a coder not related to the industry. Another consideration is that pattern based systems can be very hard to code. Your handle truetrend reminds me of Joe Ross' true trend method which can be tricky to code. He has many patterns like that and...

    Automated System With Limit Orders

Peeking forward for a fill thru the limit order OR assigning a probability that a price touch is filled sounds like a practical compromise. Also easily tested, now if I can only remember where I put that DLL to look forward 1 bar.

    Singapore set-ups

I hear that futures trading is quite a growth industry in Singapore, retail and hedge funds. Problem is trading the US time frames. It cuts into the night life.
