if you've never traded with real money before, my advice would be to open a small account first.....like a 5k margin account with Ameritrade, Etrade, or Scottrade....and just trade some 100 share lots to learn how to place some orders, stops, and get the feel of how executions and routing...

I think Jobs is suppose to speak tomorrow at some conference....speaking about the new products you can expect from aapl in the next year.

I get the impression that CNBC (as a whole) loves Cramer right now....I haven’t looked at any TV ratings charts, but it seems like every retail investor is tuning into Mad Money....his stupidity, pushing of meaningless buttons, and throwing of chairs is getting people to consistently watch...

most discount brokers usually have a list of stocks that are either (1) not marginable or (2) have a different margin rate posted on their website when you log into your account.....otherwise just call up the broker and ask them for information on the stock and they will tell you the margin...
