I think their position was a longer term fundamental position that they would "work the trade" depending on the number. I thought i remember him saying something like. I know some guys that trade Ags that do the same thing - build a large base position before some major fundamental news...

Read "The Logical Trader" by Fisher....the whole book is basically about OR breakouts on various timeframes. He also has the first chapter free online (on his website), google for it. Its a very good book (its not a pure mechanical system though)...i think its more or less something you should...
