Just a question, I didn't think you can perform a covered call on a index (spx?) without some serious cash, because you have to buy all the stocks that are members. Also you have to buy even amounts. You aren't talking about buying ES right? I'm no seller.

I've read a few stories about market makers on bloomberg. From what I've read, jump trading makes quite a lot of cash from it. + a few others. Thanks for your thoughts jackrab. See how the next few days go to tell if CL opt is tradeable for buyers.

There are a lot of things I don't understand about the markets. That is one of them :). If there is a serious on the spot volatility spike then they will remove their quotes.

The bloomberg i-pad app will let you punch in the stock code and then you can see a lot of information about that company.

Looks like we've picked up a micro bit of vol, from the open the move was 9.25. Support and resistance trades would have picked up a nice short when it hit the 2209.50 resistance level.
