    Bitcoin Price Thread

Hey johnarb are you asleep? The CME January Futures are already past $42K and climbing. I think the guy from Fundstrat who's always on CNBC was saying it would triple this year so thats about $85K.

ZKIN water pipe company making blockchain play

Why waste your time with these marginal plays on Bitcoin? Just buy the crypto mining companies themselves for a direct play. RIOT MARA HVBTF HVBTF is mainly an Ethereum miner while Marathon & Riot are mainly Bitcoin miners. They are down about 20-30% from the recent highs I assume on the SEC...

    Short MVIS

Only up another 64% since this tweet. Maybe it would have been up even more without it? Shorting against retail euphoria is a recipe for disaster. Look at the fools shorting ROKU or TSLA.

Is GLD (gold) is a good level to buy now ? Any thought on USO ?

The only real way to get Bitcoin exposure directly using the stock market is GBTC. If you want to buy it directly and put it in a "wallet" you should check the Crytocurrencies section.

    Bitcoin/Ethereum Miners

Yeah these are very volatile stocks. I also own some of the options mainly March calls. I also own GBTC, ETHE, BCHG & LTCN. LTCN is the craziest ETF/ETN I've seen. It never seems to gain liquidity and it doesn't what price it gets to. I originally bought it at $35 and the volume isn't any...

    Bitcoin/Ethereum Miners

RIOT MARA HVBTF I started buying these stocks a few weeks ago & they have all skyrocketed especially today. Are there any others that I'm missing? Seems like they are roughly leveraged 2:1 vs the cryptocurrency. If bitcoin goes to 30K, which might happen, these stocks could go up another 80%...

I still get 100% failure running the connection test.

I believe INTC is a buy at current levels

Good job. My only point was that AMD is doing a better job on a relative basis at least in terms of product development. I think using P/E ratio as a short term signal isn't very useful -- if it worked Ford would be doing better than Tesla. Intel also benefited from the SMH (Semiconductor ETF)...

I've enjoyed massive gains in this

Yeah I bought 30 shares at $35 on 10/13 and the current bid is $408 (the last price is actually $500 crazy). I sold most of the shares between $100 and $250. I still own 10 shares. This ticker never seems to have any volume no matter how high it goes which is strange. I don't think I've ever...

    Bitcoin Price Thread

It seems like BTC has done better than gold as a hedge to the central planners. I bought some GBTC back in November 2017 and recently some of the Ethereum, Litecoin & BCH products from Grayscale. They seem to all move in tandem but do you know what dictates their use case scenario?

Big mistake, I had CNBC on with Cramer

The TSLA thing is correct I think he stated many times before 2019 that it was a good company but a terrible stock. I think he also stated many times that Musk was a liability. I think he changed his mind after his daughter bought one and he drove it around.

    Automated Liquidation for Gold/Silver

Thanks for all the replies. I usually trade GLD & SLV so I didn't realize the delivery aspect of it. It makes sense now.

    Automated Liquidation for Gold/Silver

Why does IB want to liquidate my Dec Gold & Silver micro contracts? According to the contract specs they don't expire until late December not late November: Symbol Cutoff Date Liquidation Date MGC (E-Micro Gold ) 20201127 20201126 SI (NYMEX Silver Index) 20201127 20201126 Seems strange they...

Big mistake, I had CNBC on with Cramer

I never understood the hate for Cramer on this forum. I gained a lot from his insights and especially his CEO interviews. He is the guy who really came up with the original FANG acronym of investing in large cap tech when it was Facebook, Amazon, Netflix & Google. And that was back on like 2014...

I believe INTC is a buy at current levels

Intel is in deep trouble. They are getting killed in desktop by AMD. They will soon lose their leadership in servers -- its only a matter of time before people switch to the EPYC chips. The scalable EPYC chips are 80% faster at 40% of the cost not to mention 64 cores vs. 28 cores. The HEDT...

I believe INTC is a buy at current levels

Unless INTC gets rid of their management full of MBAs who know nothing about hardware they will continue to get destroyed by Dr. Su and the Ryzen gang. Their new desktop CPUs were stillborn. The 10900K is 40% slower than AMD's 3950X which is a year old. These guys are jokers. Does Intel really...

    Sector ETF Leaders

Yeah the ARK ETFs are pretty amazing. They are really good at finding momentum names in their funds. That Kathy Smith lady is really sharp. I owned ARKF but I think a better strategy is to just buy Square & PayPal right now since most of their holdings seem to rely somewhat on a physical...

Short-locating QQQ vs. Buying PSQ - Novice Day Trade Help

The leverage on options is far higher than on Futures so I use the weekly options which usually works best with a VIX < 30 but it still depends on the individual index. Right now the leverage on the QQQ options is very low since it sold off heavily on Friday. The 280 weekly calls have a...

Short-locating QQQ vs. Buying PSQ - Novice Day Trade Help

I think for daytrading the best vehicle is the micro mini futures (MNQ) for liquidity, however I personally like to use the in the money weekly calls on QQQ. The leverage is 30-100X depending on the end-of-life of the option. With Interactive Brokers the leverage on the MNQ is currently fixed at...
