Launched High Frequency Automated Trading Blackbox

I don't see how C# can beat C++/Qt, except maybe for tighter integration with Studio, and slightly simplified syntax. Plus you get cross-platform out of the box. And then you've got Java beat on performance.

    QuoteTracker question

Max candle width limits the width of individual candles, but does not affect the spacing. So now I have 50 candles filling up a screen, with really narrow profiles.

    QuoteTracker question

Actually, that's what I'm using. The more the range, the fewer the bars. Even if there are only two bars, you should be able to compress them. :(

    QuoteTracker question

Right, but I can't drag it wider than the width of the chart. How do I make the bars narrrower without loading more data?

    QuoteTracker question

This is only a problem with some symbols. E.g. Asian symbols have less data per day than American. If I load 3 days of American (ES)...

    Hourly charts

Probably doesn't matter. Just wondering what others were doing. In eSignal, depending on where you start the time template, e.g. 9:45, or 9:00 is where all the bars will be situated.

    Hourly charts

Where should hourly bar begin? I am looking at HSI, Trading opens at 9:45 est. Should bar 1 commence at 9:45 and end at 10:00, or should it proceed to 10:45, the 15-minute difference shifting all subsequent candles.

    Hand-me downs

I hear a lot of talk about safeguarding one's methods. You spent years developing them, and they are what bring home the bacon. I am curious what kind of methods did you used to use that once made money for you but are now not state's secrets?

    Opteron compatibility with eSignal

dual opteron. esignal, no problems. Not sure why they would list a particular program as having a problem with a cpu.

Is Market Delta a MUST ???

So when something is changed in IRT, is it also changed in MD?

Is Market Delta a MUST ???

It's a clunky interface. And you almost have to be a developer to manage data/symbols.

Is Market Delta a MUST ???

I think this technology will filter down to other products eventually. CQG offers bid/ask analysis.

Esignal to TRADESTATION switch. Trade Simulators.

Tradestation only has Eurex (maybe EuroNext?) futures for international.

Not enough markets with Tradestation unfortunately.

I think someone could make a lot of money offering bezel-less monitors. http://www.9xmedia.com/ comes close, I think.
