    That explains why my stops on IB were always gapped-over... but they have low commisions! With XPRESSTRADE its currently not a problem with their fairly reliable system... but they are just about ready to shift their system to OptionsXpress (that's apparently a Windows-based shop).

    Sorry that was not clear. As the Devil well knows, there's a cost to signing a contract. The menu item next to the quote data is the one for trading permissions.

    There's a bit of lag in their system. Next time leg in and leg out manually and note P&L values between each leg in Account. It will start to make sense after a while.

    The pit traded options are not part of the free bundle on IB like they are with XT. If you log into Account Management in IB you will see how much it would cost.

    Is there a lag for timezone difference?

    Is there a lag for timezone difference between your system and the exchange? If so, how do your programs deal with it? I have not setup anything yet, but would like to know upfront if that's an issue? What would be the worst-case for say a 12 timezone difference?
